Terms & Conditions

The terms on which we supply printed, embroidered and engraved goods.

Last updated: 6 September 2026.

These terms apply when you buy from P&J Prints Barnsley, whether through this website, by email or over the phone. Please read them before ordering. They do not affect your statutory rights.

1. About us

P&J Prints, Unit 13, Athersley Business Centre, Edwins Close, Athersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S71 3BH, United Kingdom. Email info@pjprints.co.uk, phone 07940 529 104.

2. Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy from us. A contract is formed once we confirm the order, or — for bespoke work — once you approve the artwork proof and we accept the job. We may decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable, if the artwork cannot be reproduced to an acceptable standard, or if we cannot meet the deadline you need.

3. Artwork, proofs and approval

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you supply — spelling, names, dates, sizes and placement included.
  • Where a proof is provided, your approval is final. Once you have approved a proof we produce exactly what it shows, and we cannot accept a return for an error that was visible on the approved proof.
  • Changes requested before approval are free. Changes after production has begun may not be possible, and may be chargeable.
  • If your file is low resolution or not print-ready we will tell you, and will usually clean it up at no charge. We are not liable for the quality of a print produced from a file you have asked us to use as supplied.

4. Intellectual property

By sending us artwork you confirm that you own it, or that you have permission from the owner to have it reproduced. We are not able to check this on your behalf. You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from artwork you have supplied. We will refuse work that we believe infringes someone else’s rights.

5. Colour and finish

Screens display colour differently to printed and stitched output, and dye lots vary between garment batches. We match brand colours as closely as the process allows, but a small variation between what you see on screen and the finished item is normal and is not a fault. If exact colour matching is critical, ask us for a physical sample before we run the full order.

6. Prices and payment

  • All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
  • Prices may change, but a written quote is held for 30 days unless we say otherwise.
  • Payment is taken at the time of ordering. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe.
  • Established business accounts may be offered payment terms by prior arrangement. Please ask.

7. Delivery

Delivery timescales and costs are set out on our Delivery & Returns page. Turnaround times are estimates given in good faith and start from artwork approval, not from the point of order. We are not liable for delays caused by the courier or by events outside our reasonable control.

8. Cancellations and returns

Personalised and made-to-order items cannot be cancelled or returned once production has begun, unless they are faulty or not as described. This is because they are made to your specification, and it is an exemption from the usual 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

For non-personalised stock items bought online, consumers have 14 days from receipt to cancel and a further 14 days to return the goods unused and in their original condition. Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty.

Full detail is on the Delivery & Returns page.

9. Faulty or incorrect goods

If an item arrives faulty, damaged or different to what you ordered, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photographs and your order number. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Where a fault is confirmed we will replace the item, or refund it, at no cost to you.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or goodwill. Our total liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
